Falougha

Home to the first Lebanese flag raised on her mountain, Falougha is split by two rivers, portraying the Syriac translation of her name, “divide”. She was witness to 10-year-old Edgard Chaya, founder of Blatt Chaya, posted in front of the boiling pot of molasses, in charge of keeping the fire going. Years later, she saw him and his friends pocket grapes from unguarded vineyards.
